- Filters exist on both MQ Series end and TCP end
- A Filter has visibility to both the inbound and outbound messages
- TCP filters can reply back to the same TCP session
- Both inbound and outbound filters are supported
- Each Queue Server can have its own set of MQ and TCP filters
